An Iowa City man faces jail time after an alleged domestic assault over the weekend.
According to the arrest report, 53-year-old Jeremy Mulvaney or Rochester Avenue had a physical confrontation with his live in girlfriend of at least a year. During the Saturday afternoon incident, Mulvaney allegedly slammed her head into the concrete, causing swelling to her lip and face and a cut on her face.
He was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault with Intent to Inflict Injury, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the couple.
