A dispute over coffee reportedly turned physical last week, leading to the arrest of a Coralville woman.
36-year-old Naoual Younesse of Holiday Road was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 5:30 last Friday night. Coralville Police say her husband reported he and Younesse were on their way to the bank at about 9:00 on the morning of November 25th when she said she wanted coffee from Starbucks. When the husband said they could get coffee after they left the bank, Younesse allegedly became angry and started throwing items around inside the vehicle. She then allegedly started hitting her husband with a broken pair of plastic safety googles, causing small lacerations on his fingers.
Police say the couple’s child was present at the time of the attack.
Younesse is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Without Intent Causing Injury. If convicted, she faces a maximum of one year in jail.
