A Tiffin man was arrested after allegedly threatening multiple times to kill a woman.
The victim went to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday night and through an interpreter reported that 38-year-old Moises Ramirez Gomez had threatened to kill her. According to the woman, Ramirez-Gomez had gotten intoxicated and threatened to kill her on several occasions.
She provided deputies with an audio recording of an argument, reportedly between her and Ramirez-Gomez, corroborating her narrative. He allegedly told the victim he would kill her because she wasn’t worth anything and no one could do anything about it. The woman stated Ramirez-Gomez’ threats intimidated her and put her in fear.
He was arrested and charged with 1st degree Harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to two years if convicted.
