A gun-law advocacy group has released their annual national scorecard, and the state of Iowa is among 21 states that received a failing grade.

The Giffords Law Center ranks all 50 states annually on their progress in enacting stronger gun laws to lower gun death rates and save more lives.  In a release from the Center, it says Iowa received an F because it failed to pass any significant gun legislation.

Peter Ambler, Executive Director of GIFFORDS Law Center, says “Iowa has failed to take significant steps to protect its constituents…it’s time for lawmakers to get on the same page as most Americans and pass policies to make their states safer.”
