Holiday Lights at the Lake is back for another season.
2023 marks the third year for the mile-long route of large, animated light displays at the West Overlook Campground just west of the dam at Coralville Lake.
The event runs nightly from Thanksgiving night through New Year’s Eve. Most nights offer a drive-through experience, but Wednesdays are closed to vehicles to offer a walking tour of the lights displays.
Admission for vehicles starts at $10 per regularly sized family vehicles such as cars, SUVs and mini-vans. Larger vehicles such as limos and buses pay a higher fee. On walk-through nights, the cost is $5 per person, with children 2 and under entering for free.
Hours for Holiday Lights at the Lake are Sunday through Thursday 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite, or cash is accepted at the gate to avoid added fees.
All proceeds support Iowa’s only independent residential hospice home, the Bird House Hospice Home of Johnson County.
