A second Minnesota man faces charges that he stole a semi from Big Ten Towing.

43-year-old Jesse Thomas was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 3:15 Monday afternoon.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says Thomas and 49-year-old Garrick Sneed…both of Chatfield, Minnesota…can be seen on security video scoping out the Big Ten Towing property on Highway 1 West on the night of August 14th. Then, just after 9:45 that night, they allegedly returned and stole a Mack semi and flatbed trailer.

The truck and trailer were later recovered from a farm in Steele County, Minnesota. Investigators say the Big Ten Towing logos and state-issued DOT numbers had been spray-painted over to disguise the identity of the truck.

The value of the stolen truck and trailer is estimated at over $120,000.

Thomas and Sneed are each charged with 1st Degree Theft, a Class C Felony punishable by a maximum of ten years in prison.
