Iowa City Police are investigating a reported overnight armed robbery downtown.
University of Iowa Police issued a Hawk Alert at 12:03 Sunday morning for a report of a robbery committed at gunpoint near the intersection of Burlington and Dubuque Streets. The alert urged pedestrians to avoid the area.
A later Hawk Alert issued at 12:28 a.m. indicated the investigation was ongoing, but the public could resume normal activity.
No more details have been released.
