An employee at a Coralville Kum & Go is accused of embezzling over $1,500.

Coralville Police say 42-year-old Brooke Woodburn-Ritesman of the Iowa Lodge was working at the Kum & Go on the Coralville Strip when she made bad returns and pocketed the cash on multiple occasions between September 7th and November 8th of 2021. The total amount of the theft is estimated at $1,571.77. Arrest records indicate Woodburn-Ritesman’s arrest was delayed because a police officer entered an incorrect name for the warrant.

Woodburn-Ritesman is charged with 2nd Degree Theft. If convicted, she faces a maximum of five years in prison.
