Officials with the Mid-Prairie Community School District are hoping voters approve a scaled-back bond referendum from one proposed last year.
If approved, the new $8.7 million bond would help pay for new classrooms at West Elementary, a new district wrestling and activity center, and improvements to the parking lots at the two district elementary schools.
Voters rejected a more ambitious $26.3 million bond issue in March of 2022.
A new state law that combines school and governmental elections means the vote will be on the November 7th general election ballot. A 60% supermajority is required for passage.
