An Iowa City man allegedly told police that his name and date of birth “didn’t’ matter” when arrested for public intoxication.

28-year-old Zachary MacMillan of Video Court was reportedly located at the Kum & Go on Muscatine Avenue just before 10:30 pm Monday, passed out in the bathroom. Upon waking, he allegedly showed signs of intoxication, including bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, unsteady balance, and the odor of alcohol on his breath.

MacMillan refused a PBT and was uncooperative with officers by refusing to provide his name or date of birth. He allegedly told them it did not matter.

On top of the public intox charge, MacMillan was charged with Harassment of a Public Official. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to 60 days in jail.
