A Riverside man faces numerous charges after a traffic stop and ensuing alleged altercation with Washington County Sheriff’s deputies.

According to Washington County dispatch records, deputies pulled over a vehicle being driven by 54-year-old Jeffery Earl Henderson of North Washburn Street just before 6:30 Friday night on West 2nd Street in Riverside. Few details about the incident have been made available, but online records show Henderson was arrested and charged with three counts of 1st Degree Harassment and one count each of Assault on a Peace Office Causing Bodily Injury, Interference With Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon While Intoxicated, Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Suspended. Henderson was also allegedly driving without insurance and operating a non-registered vehicle.

If convicted on all charges, Henderson faces a maximum of over 15 years in prison.
