An Iowa City woman will face a non-jury trial in December for an alleged harassment incident that occurred two years ago.

Court records indicate 20-year-old Alondra Escoricia of the Quarters apartment complex posted approximately 100 sticky notes on a victim’s car in the overnight hours of September 27th, 2021. The notes called the man a “rapist” and a “pedophile.”  Escorcia later reportedly admitted to the act and was issued a harassment warning on October 15th of that year.

At an unspecified date and time between the issuance of the warning and January 13, 2022, Escorcia allegedly posted on social media about the victim, tagging him and his parents in a post.

A warrant was issued on January 14th, 2022. Escorcia was charged with 3rd degree Harassment on Wednesday, with a non-jury trial scheduled for the morning of December 5th. A no-contact order was issued by a Johnson County judge.

If convicted on the charge, Escorcia could be sentenced to up to 30 days in jail.
