An Iowa City woman was taken into custody after a search warrant of her apartment found evidence that she was dealing marijuana.

Police executed the warrant on the Van Buren Street residence of 23-year-old Rayanna Haslett-Tomova the afternoon of August 20th.  A search of her bedroom allegedly turned up approximately 123 grams of marijuana.

Haslett-Tomova’s phone was seized, and information from the device indicated that she was engaged in the sale of marijuana.

An arrest warrant was granted, and Haslett-Tomova was taken into custody early Wednesday morning. She faces a Controlled Substance violation, Failure to Affix Tax Stamp, and Keeping Premises for Controlled Substances. If convicted on all counts, Haslett-Tomova could be sentenced to up to 12 years in prison.
