Kaleb Johnson rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown, and the Iowa Hawkeyes stopped a late-game comeback to beat Purdue 20-14 in front of a sold-out homecoming crowd at Kinnick Stadium.
Quarterback Deacon Hill only completed 3 of 14 passes in the first half, and ended up 6 for 21 with one touchdown.
Iowa improved their offensive production with 291 total yards; the defense held the Boilermakers to 343 total yards.
Iowa improves to 5-1, 2-1 in Big Ten play, and a perfect 4-0 at Kinnick this season. They travel to Wisconsin next Saturday for a 3pm game that will be broadcast on FOX.
