A multi-vehicle accident tied up traffic Friday night on Highway 218 south of Iowa City.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, an accident involving multiple vehicles was reported on southbound Highway 218 between the Hills and Highway 22 exits…about two miles north of Riverside…just before 9:30 p. m. The accident blocked the right lane of southbound Highway 218, slowing traffic for about an hour.
