Multiple agencies responded to a grass fire near Oxford Monday afternoon.
According to Johnson County dispatch records, Oxford firefighters were called to a grass fire on the 2000 block of 250th Street NW…just north of Kent Park and west of Greencastle Airport…just before 1:00. They were soon joined by fire crews from Tiffin and North Liberty.
The public was urged to avoid the area while crews worked on the blaze. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about an hour. No injuries or property damage were reported.
