Gov. Kim Reynolds has appointed a University of Iowa graduate as a district court judge.
Shane Wiley was announced Friday as a district judge in Judicial Election District 8B. Wiley, of Burlington, is a partner at the law firm of Hirsch, Adams, Putnam, Cahill & Wiley, PLC. He received an undergraduate degree at the UI and his law degree from the UI College of Law.
Wiley fills a vacancy created by the retirement of District Judge Michael Schilling. Judicial Election District 8B includes Des Moines, Henry, and Lee counties.
