A child custody exchange allegedly went awry in Swisher, leading to the arrest of a Marion man.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports 32-year-old Luis Ramos Ramirez of Smithland Drive met the alleged victim in the parking lot of Guppy’s on the Go on 120th Street at 9:30 Saturday morning. The alleged victim and witnesses report Ramos Ramirez opened the door of the man’s vehicle and pulled him out, then placed him into a choke hold. Ramos Ramirez also reportedly punched the man in the face, causing a cut.
