An Iowa City man could face over a decade in prison after he allegedly entered a residence without permission and threatened one of the occupants.

Iowa City Police were called to an address on Rochester Avenue just after 10:15 Saturday night. Witnesses say 52-year-old Justin Meade of East Washington Street entered the residence without permission from either of the two occupants and threatened one of them.

Meade was still inside the house when officers arrived. Police say he admitted to drinking, showed signs of intoxication, and refused breath testing.

Meade was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary and Public Intoxication. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of over ten years in prison.
