An Iowa City woman was arrested earlier this week after allegedly calling the home of a person that has a no-contact order against her multiple times.

Police say that 35-year-old Kalsy Williams, who lists her address as Shelter House, kept calling the protected party in the overnight hours of August 2nd, asking that the party come to her location on South Gilbert Street.

Once police Mirandized Williams, she allegedly claimed that she was too intoxicated to care for the children in her care and needed the protected party to come care for them and to check on her brother.

The no-contact order spans a period of five years and isn’t due to expire until November 2024.

Williams was charged with contempt for violating the order.
