Former President Donald Trump will skip an evangelical group’s summit on Friday in Des Moines and instead appear in Cedar Rapids next week for a Fox News Town Hall with host Sean Hannity.

The Des Moines Register reports tomorrow’s summit, hosted by the Family Leader, will feature Florida governor Ron DeSantis in a discussion with former Fox host Tucker Carlson. Also scheduled to appear are former Vice President Mike Pence, Asa Hutchinson, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy and governor Kim Reynolds.  The Trump campaign offered to send Ohio senator JD Vance to the event, but Family Leader president and CEO Bob Vander Plaats rejected that offer.

Trump will join Hannity in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, marking the second time he’s joined the host in Iowa this campaign cycle. It’s Trump’s fourth trip to the state since declaring his candidacy.

The Register also reports Trump has indicated he will attend the Republican Party of Iowa’s annual Lincoln Dinner on July 28th. It is expected to be the first time both Trump and Governor DeSantis will share the same stage.
