The North Liberty City Council has okayed a multi-year tax-incentive deal for a multi-million dollar entertainment district development in the works.
The Gazette reports that the $20 million Solomon’s Landing development, just north of Penn Street, will receive city tax incentives worth up to $7.5 million over eight annual payments.
Brandon Pratt of Pratt Real Estate Management in North Liberty, is behind the project. He had previously asked for financial assistance from the city when he presented the project to the City Council in January.
The development includes an over 34,000 square-foot indoor recreation building, a bowling entertainment center, and a Pizza Ranch. Pratt says barring any unforeseen delays, the project should be complete by the end of December 2025. He projects it will generate annual spending of $30 to $40 million in the city.
