An Iowa City man was arrested on a warrant stemming from an incident last month when he allegedly assaulted another man at a fast food restaurant.

Video of the incident, which occurred the afternoon of May 5th at the McDonalds on Lower Muscatine Road, allegedly shows 25-year-old Jeremiah Seals of Broadway Street punching the victim in the head and pulling his hair. He reportedly pushed the man into a table and forcefully tackled the victim in the booth.

Seals allegedly had to be restrained by witnesses on scene to stop the assault.  The man complained of back pain and had trouble breathing afterwards.

A warrant was issued on Wednesday, resulting in Seals being arrested that night for Assault with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to two years in jail. A no-contact order between the two was issued.
