Cedar Rapids police say they have made two arrests in connection with a stabbing earlier this week.
According to a release from the city, police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Dunham Drive Southwest Tuesday at approximately 6:13 pm on reports of a fight and possible stabbing. Upon arrival, investigators located a 41-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds and signs of physical assault.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of their on-scene investigation and statements from witnesses, police arrested 19-year-old twins Jabran Nickens and Davashi Nickens, both of Cedar Rapids. They’ve each been charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, a Class C felony punishable by a prison term of ten years if convicted.
