Two people were killed when a train hit a truck in rural Cedar County.
The Iowa State Patrol reports a Mack truck was trying to cross the railroad tracks on 155th Street…just north of Highway 30 between Lisbon and Mechanicsville…around 6am Friday. The vehicle was hit by an eastbound train, which struck the driver’s side of the vehicle. Two occupants of the truck were killed. Their identities have not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
