A Marion man accused of helping his friend shoot at a camper with a woman and baby daughter inside last year has been arrested.
According to the criminal complaint, 19-year-old Bryant Wallace of 4th Avenue was driving a black minivan towards the victim’s residence the afternoon of November 2nd. He slowed down as he headed southbound on Hickory Hollow Road in Solon so that his friend could shoot a 9mm handgun out the van window at the victim’s camper. Wallace allegedly said he wanted “at least four shots” at the victim’s camper, which he believed contained a woman and her baby daughter.
Wallace is reported to have helped lock and load the friend’s handgun in preparation for the alleged drive-by shooting.
The camper was hit three times, with one round missing the woman’s head by inches Another shot traveled through the camper taillight and hit the home residence, and one missed the camper and deflected off a trailer. It is unknown where a fifth gunshot hit.
A warrant was issued for Wallace’s arrest on March 7th; he was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon. He’s been charged with Dominion or Control of a Firearm as a Felon, and Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon. If convicted on both counts, Wallace could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
