Cedar Rapids woman identified as one of three fatalities in I80 crash

A Cedar Rapids woman was identified as one of three fatalities in a head-on crash in Scott County.

The Gazette repots 23-year-old Brina Anderson-Yoder was a passenger who died in the crash.

State Patrol reports show the accident occurred at 11:15 pm Friday. A 2014 Volkswagen and a 2014 Chevrolet collided head-on in the inside lane of eastbound I-80 at mile marker 284, but the direction of travel for each vehicle had not yet been determined in the ongoing investigation.

The driver of the Volkswagen was killed; she’s been identified as 46-year-old Tameka Paney of Rock Island. The Chevrolet driver survived. She’s been identified as 29-year-old Andrea Smith of Davenport.

The other fatality 34-year-old Jessica Carr of Fresno California. Investigators haven’t determined whose car Carr or Anderson-Yoder were riding in.
