Solon Community School District voters passed a $25.5 million bond measure that is aimed to expand, update and construct new facilities.

With the funds, an expansion project at the intermediate school will commence, as will construction of a new administrative building, transportation facility, a new multi-purpose activity facility, and replace the 12-year-old turf at Spartan Stadium.

The measure passed with over 65% of the vote. 60% was required.

A tax levy and purpose statement also got the required number of votes.

In the College Community School District, a tax levy increase of 67 cents per $1000 of assessed value was passed, and a Revenue Purpose Statement was overwhelmingly approved in the Lone Tree School District. The Purpose Statement allows the expenditure of revenue from the State of Iowa.
