Cedar Rapids Police seeking help in Monday night shooting incident

Cedar Rapids Police are asking for the public’s help in locating suspects involved in a Monday night shooting.

According to a news release from the Department, police were dispatched by Joint Communications Agency Dispatchers to the 1400 block of Washington Ave SE for the report of shots-fired just after 9pm.  Officers arrived on-scene and found one adult male suffering gunshot wounds.  He was treated on-scene and transported to a local hospital for further care.  His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators are asking for witnesses or those with video surveillance in the surrounding area to come forward and assist with their investigation.

No arrests have been made; there is an active, ongoing investigation.
