UI Police investigate reported sexual assault, burglary in separate incidents

University of Iowa Police are investigating two separate crimes reported earlier this week.

The UI Department of Public Safety was made aware of both incidents on Thursday. In one case, UI officials received a report of a sexual assault that occurred late Friday, Oct. 28th into early Saturday, Oct. 29th at the Visual Arts Building on River Street. No additional details have been made available.

UI officials have also received a report of a potential burglary at Stanley Hall on East Davenport Street. The reporting party shared that money was stolen from their room between 9 and 10:00 Wednesday night while the room was unoccupied. The door was unlocked, and there were no signs of forced entry.
