A Peoria Illinois man has been taken into custody after allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl.
The arrest report indicates 21-year-old Jeremiah Burgess was at an undisclosed location on the 400 block of Highway 965 South in North Liberty the evening of September 29th. Three witnesses to the incident say Burgess had sex with the girl.
A warrant was issued for his arrest October 13th; he was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Burgess faces a charge of 2nd degree Sexual Abuse and could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
