Johnson County Public Health has announced three new clinics offering services of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, better known as WIC.

WIC is a nutrition education and food assistance program for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women and children to age five years. WIC can help families find other needed resources like doctors, dentists, and medical insurance.

JCPH expanded WIC clinics in Johnson County to improve the accessibility to services for county residents especially where transportation is a barrier. Two new clinics are located in North Liberty, while the third is in Coralville.

The North Liberty Community Center clinic on West Cherry Street will open for the first time on October 11th and will be open every second Tuesday of the month.

The North Liberty Baptist Church clinic on Jordan Street opens on October 20, and will be open the third Thursday of the month.

Finally, the Coralville United Methodist Church clinic on 13th Avenue opens on October 25 and will be open the fourth Tuesday of each month.

All clinics will be open from 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM monthly. For more information or to make an appointment, you can call 319-356-6042
