A Cedar Rapids man was arrested after allegedly violating a no-contact order three times within two days after its issue.
34-year-old Curtis Larson allegedly went to the protected party’s residence Saturday night around 11:45, a few hours after being served with the no-contact order. He reportedly threw rocks at the woman’s window and then spoke to her, but fled before police arrived.
Then just after 4am Sunday, witnesses observed Larson enter the residence and have a second contact with the protected party. Again, he fled prior to police arrival.
Larson was finally arrested Sunday afternoon after the woman was lying in bed in her room when Larson walked in. He allegedly accused her of sleeping with other guys and told her that she should break up with him. The woman then pointed out to Larson that they did break up, a month ago. She was able to get Larson out of the apartment and locked the door. He reportedly used a key to unlock the door and attempt to come back inside, but she held the door shut and called 911.
Larson was found a short distance away from the apartment and taken into custody. He’s charged with three counts of no-contact order violation; another no-contact order was requested between the two.
