The University of Iowa has reached a settlement with a former Hawkeye track coach.

Assistant coach Clive Roberts resigned on July 22nd. The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports Roberts will receive $125,000 as part of the settlement, plus $15,000 in attorney’s fees. He will also be paid his full salary and benefits for the duration of his employment plus unused vacation time.

In return, Roberts promises not to seek employment again at the UI, host any camps on the UI campus or sue the university.

The agreement points out that Roberts’ resignation is “not a resignation in lieu of termination”, and the settlement is not an admission of liability.

Roberts had been making an annual salary of $90,000.
