A transient with a chronic history of trespassing is back behind bars after being cited three times for the offense over the July 4th weekend.

Iowa City Police say 29-year-old Porscha Curry violated previous trespass warnings at the Muscatine Avenue Kum & Go and the Town & Campus Apartments on July 1st, and the same Kum & Go and the Muscatine Avenue Walgreen’s on July 4th. She’s accused of harassing customers at the businesses, and Town & Campus management told police she hasn’t lived at the Arthur Street complex in over a month.

After the July 1st arrest, police say a meth or crack pipe was found in Curry’s bra during booking at the Johnson County Jail.

Last month, Curry was arrested for violating a standing trespass warning at the 1st Avenue Hy-Vee issued after she was accused of multiple thefts. She allegedly told the arresting officer that after she got out of jail she was going to buy a gun and shoot him in the head. She also allegedly threatened to shoot the next officer who spoke to her, and any other officers who responded.

A one-hitter pipe with burnt marijuana residue was reportedly found on Curry’s person.

Curry is also awaiting trial on charges that she assaulted an Iowa City transit driver last November, causing an injury to the driver’s leg.

In all, Curry is currently facing charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury, 1st Degree Harassment, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and three counts of Trespassing. If convicted on all counts, she faces a maximum of over three years in prison.
