Coralville Police and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation are investigating gunshot injuries sustained by a three-year-old child Sunday.
According to a news release, Coralville Police were dispatched to a Boston Way apartment complex at approximately 12:19pm on reports of the incident involving a three-year-old.
Emergency personnel transported the child to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where the child remains in critical condition.
The circumstances leading up to and immediately following the incident in question are being investigated by the Coralville Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
No further information has been released.
