Ohio woman accused of injuring bar employee, breaking glass door during Friday night incident

An Ohio woman faces charges that she injured a bar employee and broke a glass door during a Friday night altercation.

Iowa City Police were called to Shakespeare’s on 1st Avenue just after 11pm for a customer who would not leave.

Arriving officers were told that 41-year-old Jennifer Minamyer of Painesville, Ohio had been told to leave and refused. When a Shakespeare’s employee attempted to walk Minamyer out of the bar, she allegedly pulled the victim’s hair, causing injury. Minemyer is also accused of throwing a chair at a glass door, cracking it.

Minemyer’s breath alcohol level was measured at .096%. She’s charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, 5th Degree Criminal Mischief, Trespassing and Public Intoxication. If convicted on all charges, Minemyer faces a maximum of 26 months in jail.
