Work on the Interstate 80/Herbert Hoover Highway interchange project will require nighttime closures of both lanes of westbound I-80 between mile markers 249 and 250 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly beginning on Sunday night.
The closures will continue until Friday, weather permitting.
During this closure, traffic will be detoured onto the Herbert Hoover Highway exit, across the new Herbert Hoover Highway roundabout, then onto the westbound I-80 entrance ramp.
The eastbound I-80 exit ramp to Herbert Hoover Highway will also be closed starting Monday. The eastbound I-80 entrance ramp will also remain closed. Both eastbound ramps are expected to re-open on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
During these closures, eastbound I-80 exit ramp traffic will be detoured by traveling to the West Branch exit, then turning onto westbound I-80 to the Herbert Hoover Highway exit. Eastbound I-80 entrance ramp traffic will continue to be detoured by traveling on westbound I-80 to the North Dodge Street exit, then turning onto eastbound I-80.
