The woman whose arrest went viral due to cellphone video showing her being punched by an Iowa City police officer while handcuffed turned herself in for a probation violation warrant on a previous OWI charge  the day after being released from the Johnson County Jail.

22-year-old Daria Brown faces several charges from Friday night ‘s incident, including Disarming a Police Officer when police video showed her grabbing a Taser while being handcuffed as she was being put into a squad car. Due to her level of combative behavior, use of force was deployed, and an officer punched her several times in the upper back to get her to release the Taser.

Brown was taken to the Johnson County Jail at 12:45 am Saturday and was released at 12:40 pm Monday after her bond was posted.  A probation violation warrant was issued later that afternoon, and jail records indicate that Brown turned herself in on the violation Tuesday afternoon.

She was released Wednesday to the supervision of the Department of Correctional Services, with a probation revocation hearing scheduled for June 13th. No court dates have been set relating to Friday’s incident.
