Cedar Rapids man accused of stealing U-Haul from Solon dealership

A Cedar Rapids man faces charges that he stole a U-Haul from a dealership in Solon.

Solon U-Haul reported a vehicle had been stolen from its property on North Iowa Street sometime between the night of April 12^th and the following morning. The keys had been left inside.

38-year-old Bradley Bramer of Club Road was later found in possession of the vehicle in Cedar Rapids. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says because of the short time frame and close distance, it was reasonable to assume Bramer stole the vehicle.

Bramer was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 3:15 Saturday afternoon and charged with 1^st Degree Theft. If convicted he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
