A two-semi accident closed down parts of Interstate 80 near Williamsburg early Wednesday morning.

According to the Williamsburg Fire Department Facebook page, first responders were dispatched to eastbound I-80 near the North English exit just before 2:30am. An investigation determined that one semi failed to move over and clipped another semi that was broken down along the side of the roadway.

The two disabled vehicles were blocking the eastbound lanes. All of the passengers were able to escape on their own.

Once debris and fuel spills were cleaned up, I-80 was able to reopen about two hours after the crash.
Williamsburg firefighters remind drivers to always move over for vehicles stopped at the side of the interstate.
