A Coralville woman awaiting sentencing on weapons charges is back behind bars after allegedly violating a no-contact order with the victim.

Iowa City Police say the protected party called them to the Mormon Trek Boulevard Kum & Go at 9:30am on April 27th. The caller reported that 21-year-old Danielle Williams walked into the convenience store while the victim was inside, realized the victim was there, then engaged the victim in a conversation.

Williams was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 8:45 Saturday night on a no-contact order violation. Court records show she was given a seven-day jail sentence.

Williams is awaiting a June 6th sentencing hearing on weapons charges after her arrest in Oxford last August. The victim reported Williams pulled out a handgun during an argument on Bittersweet Court in Iowa City four days earlier and fired a round over her head. A bullet was found at the scene which matched a Ruger 9mm handgun that was later recovered from an apartment on the Coralville Strip.

Williams allegedly had a bag of marijuana in her possession when she was taken into custody. She was initially charged with two counts of Dominion or Control of an Offensive Weapon by a Domestic Abuser and one count each of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure or Provoke Fear and Marijuana Possession. Terms of her plea deal with prosecutors have not been released.
