A Coralville man was taken into custody over the weekend after allegedly throwing things around his apartment and causing a minor injury to his infant child.

The alleged  incident occurred at approximately 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Holiday Road residence of 25-year-old Kiante Davis. The sequence of events is unclear, but police say that Davis was arguing with a woman’s daughter, who left the premises. The woman also tried to leave, and Davis reportedly shoved her in the upper chest with his forearm, putting her against the wall. The woman allegedly still had visible redness in the area an hour later.

At some time during the argument, Davis was throwing items around a room that his infant child was in.  One of the items hit the child in the face, causing a minor injury.

Davis was arrested and charged with Child Endangerment and Assault causing Bodily Injury. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to three years in jail.
