Cedar Rapids Police say one person was injured in an overnight shooting.
According to a CRPD news release, officers were dispatched to a report of gunfire on the 1100 block of K Street SW at 12:45am Saturday. A wounded victim was found at the scene and transported to a local hospital. Investigators also discovered property damage to a nearby vehicle and residence.
Police say they believe it was a targeted incident and there is no danger to the public. No charges have been filed, and the incident remains under investigation.
