Clear Creek Amana School District interim Superintendent resigns

The interim Superintendent of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District resigned this week to focus on his primary run for state Senate.

In a release from the District, Joseph E. Brown Sr. has resigned, leaving his contract two months early to focus on his run for the office of State Senator District 35.

At a special school board meeting Wednesday night, the CCA school board accepted Mr. Brown’s resignation and thanked him for his service over the past 8 months. Brown served as Interim Superintendent while the district continued a search for a Superintendent.

Matt Leeman, Associate Superintendent for the District has agreed to serve as the district’s leader until July 1 when Dr. Corey Seymour will start as the District Superintendent.
