Bond has been revoked for an Iowa City man facing a pair of no-contact order violations after separate incidents last month.

21-year-old William Humphrey was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 7:30 Monday night. According to online court records, he failed to appear at a show cause hearing on March 31st.

A witness reported to Iowa City Police that they had seen Humphrey hit a woman while streaming on Facebook Live just before 11:45pm on March 8th. Arriving officers say they found Humphrey at his Myrtle Avenue apartment. The alleged victim was also there and was identified as a woman who has lived with Humphrey over the last month, has a no-contact order with him and is expecting a child with him. The woman was treated by an arriving ambulance crew. Humphrey was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury and a no-contact order violation. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.

Humphrey was also wanted on a separate no-contact order violation for a March 2nd incident during which he and the protected party were kicked out of the Mercer Aquatic Center for fighting. Police say the altercation moved to the parking lot, where the woman tried to leave in a car with her friends. Humphrey allegedly chased after the car and threw a brick at it as it was driving away.

Humphrey’s show cause hearing has been reset for April 13th.
