Passing out with his pants down in the middle of a popular convenience store has led to an Iowa City man’s arrest.
Iowa City Police were called to the L&M Mighty Shop on East Burlington Street just after 2:15 Saturday morning for a male sitting on the floor who would not leave. Arriving officers say they found 37-year-old Timothy Reid passed out on the floor with his pants around his thighs. Once awakened, Reid allegedly showed multiple signs of intoxication. Police say he had an empty liquor bottle in his pocket.
Reid allegedly told police he was going to walk home, despite the fact that his Triple Crown Lane apartment was over 3 1/2 miles away.
\Reid was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.
