A Coralville man was taken into custody after allegedly harassing a woman, then taking her to a secluded area of an apartment building and touching her inappropriately.
The criminal complaint says that on the morning of January 26th, 39-year-old Jonathan Gordon of the Iowa Lodge continued to try to contact the victim after being told multiple times to stop, and the woman taking several steps to keep Gordon from contacting her. He’s then accused of pulling the woman to a secluded area of the woman’s Holiday Road apartment building, trying to disrobe her, and touching her inappropriately. The woman repeatedly told Gordon “no” and to stop.
A warrant was issued on Monday morning; he was taken into custody that afternoon and charged with 3rd degree Harassment and Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse. If convicted on the counts, Gordon could face up to 25 months in prison.
