A North Liberty man faces dozens of sexual abuse charges after police say they found video of him performing sex acts with a six-year-old.
37-year-old Thomas Jesse of Locust Ridge Road was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 9pm Tuesday. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says last October it received word that Jesse was in possession of a laptop that included the videos. The computer and other electronic devices were seized, and investigators say numerous videos recorded between March of 2020 and July of 2021 show Jesse involved in sex acts with the child.
Jesse is charged with 40 counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse and three counts of Indecent Exposure. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum prison sentence of 1,003 years.
