A Swisher man accused of assaulting  a neighbor for the noise being made during construction work at his residence last week was arrested Monday after allegedly assaulting his live-in partner.

The first incident occurred after 10:30 am on December 12th on the 200 block of Summit Street and involved 60-year-old Kurt Kramer. His neighbor and several other subjects were doing construction work on his garage, and told authorities they didn’t start work until after 10 am because of the noise they were making. Kramer allegedly came to the property to confront the workers. They told Kramer to go home, but he reportedly continued to be verbally aggressive.

Things came to a head when Kramer allegedly went charging at the homeowner. One of the other men on scene stepped between the two, pushing Kramer back onto his property. Kramer then reportedly punched the man up to a half dozen times.

A simple assault warrant was issued for Kramer’s arrest the next day.

Then on Monday around 9:30 pm, Kramer is accused of kicking his live-in partner in the abdomen as she was sitting on the bed trying to talk to him. She reportedly landed on the ground as a result of Kramer’s action. A deputy who responded to the incident observed blood coming from the woman’s arm, which she said was from Kramer grabbing her. He had left the scene by the time authorities arrived.

Deputies found Kramer at his place of work, and under Miranda allegedly admitted to pushing the woman with his feet to get her off of him. The couple have been living together intimately for approximately 14 years.

Kramer was arrested and faces Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd offense and a simple assault charge for the incident at the neighbor’s residence. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to 25 months in jail. Judge Deborah Minot ordered Kramer to not have contact with the woman.
